APPLICATION

Specially formulated for waterproofing and repairs, with excellent adhesion to most substrates used in construction: cement, concrete, mortar, fibre cement, tiles, ceramics, brick, sheets, etc. It can be used for waterproofing the following construction elements:

  • Roofs, terraces and balconies covered with different materials (brick, mortar, concrete, asphalt sheets, etc)
  • On vertical walls, to avoid water infiltrations
  • Plumbing and drains
  • Repairing and filling joints and cracks
  • Repairing roof tiles and gutters
  • Joints in chimneys and skylights
METHOD OF APPLICATION

PREPARATION

  • To achieve perfect adhesion to the substrate, surfaces must be clean and free of dust, grease, oils, pollution, oxides, etc. If necessary, degrease with alcohol, acetone or MEK.
  • Surfaces must be smooth with no irregularities.
  • Check compatibility with the substrates where it will be applied.

APPLICATION

  • The application temperature must be between +5°C and +40°C.
  • Mix the product well until the mixture is homogeneous, but without introducing too much air into the product.
  • Apply directly with brush, roller or spatula (we recommend obtaining a film thickness between 1.4 and 2.0 mm). If applying in two coats wait at least 1 hour between them depending on the weather conditions.
  • We recommend placing a reinforcing mesh between two coats of product so that the surface can be traversed. If the reinforcement mesh is not placed, the surface of the product is only visitable.
  • Once the package has been opened, we recommend that it be completely used.
  • The yield is 1.5 to 3.0 Kg/m2 of product, approximately 1.4 mm thick, applied in 1, 2 or more coats.
  • The curing process begins when it comes into contact with air humidity, this being done from the outside in.

CLEANING

  • The tools can be cleaned, with solvente universal (e.g. acetone or alcohol) before the sealant cures. After curing, it can only be removed by mechanical action.

PAINTING

  • Can be painted with most water based paints after full cure. Preliminary tests are required.
