Application

APPLICATIONS

  • Sealing and repair of cracks and immobile joints in ovens, stoves, boilers, barbecues and joints in contact with direct fire.
  • Sealing and placement of refractory bricks, fireproof panels, chimneys, exhaust pipes.
  • Sealing and assembly of stoves, ovens, barbecues, heaters and other equipment subject to high temperatures.
  • Repair of fissures and sealing of immobile joints subjected to high temperatures.
  • Excellent adhesion on most porous building materials and porous materials used in construction and metal.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

PREPARATION

  • The surfaces must be very clean and dry, degreased and free of friable particles that could hinder adherence.
  • Verify the compatibility of the Refractory Putty with the substrates.

APPLICATION

  • The application temperature must be between +5°C and +35°C.
  • Cut the tip and place it in the cartridge. It is recommended that this cut be made at 45°C, in the diameter required to seal the joint.
  • The Refractory Putty can be applied with a manual or pneumatic gun.
  • Apply the product and let it dry for 24-48 hours, protecting it from water.
  • After drying, gradually increase the temperature until it reaches approximately 200ºC, for approximately 2 hours, in this way the product hardens completely and reaches its maximum benefits.

CLEANING

  • Tools can be cleaned with water before sealant dries.
  • After curing, it can only be removed by mechanical action.
