APPLICATIONS

• Specially formulated for most substrates used in the construction industry, automotive industry, marine industry, etc.
• Ideal for all gluing and sealing jobs where transparency and elasticity are required, for example, for gluing handles on glass doors, for use in bathrooms, kitchens, etc.
• Elastic bonding of parts of structures subject to vibration.
• Approved for indoor and outdoor application according to the EN15651-1 F EXT-INT standard.
• Approved for use on glass according to EN15651-2 G.
• Suitable for kitchens and bathrooms as it prevents mold formation – Approved according to EN15651-3 XS for joints in sanitary áreas.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

PREPARATION

• To achieve perfect adhesion to the substrate, the surfaces must be clean and free of dust, grease, oils, pollution, oxides, etc… If necessary, degrease with alcohol, acetone or MEK.
• Check the compatibility of SEAL&BOND 35 MS CRISTAL with the substrates where it will be applied.

APPLICATION

• If necessary, use a joint cord to avoid three-point contact and observe the width/depth ratio defined by the following rule: ideal joint depth = joint width / 2, with a minimum depth of 8mm (check expansion joint table at the end of the document).
• The application temperature must be between +5°C and +40°C.
• Apply masking tape to the sides of the joints to protect the places where it should not come into contact.
• Cut the tip and place it in the cartridge. It is recommended that this cut be made at 45°C, in the diameter required for sealing the joint or bonding.
• SEAL&BOND 35 MS CRISTAL can be applied with a manual or pneumatic gun.
• Apply SEAL&BOND 35 MS CRISTAL in uniform strands on the materials to be bonded. After application, use a spatula to smooth the joint or press firmly on the joint of the parts to be glued.
• The curing process starts when it comes into contact with the humidity in the air, which is done from outside to inside 3mm every 24 hours.

CLEANING

• Tools can be cleaned with an organic solvent (eg acetone or alcohol) before the sealant cures. After curing, it can only be removed by mechanical action.

PAINTING

• Paintable with most water or solvent based paints after 48 hours.
• Pre-tests are required.
